Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented and tech-savvy Design Assistant to support our lead designers in creating stunning interior concepts. This is a remote role perfect for a detail-oriented creative who excels in a digital workspace. You will be the backbone of the design process, transforming ideas into detailed plans and visualizations that our on-site team will bring to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed floor plans, elevations, and technical drawings using AutoCAD.
- Create compelling 3D renderings and mood boards to visualize design concepts for client presentations.
- Research and source furniture, fixtures, accessories, fabrics, and finishes from online vendors and trade platforms.
- Prepare comprehensive digital client presentation decks.
- Maintain organized digital libraries of specs, samples, and project resources.
- Collaborate with the procurement manager to ensure design intent is captured in all orders.
- Assist with space planning and conceptual design under the direction of a lead designer.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Design Assistant, Junior Designer, or similar role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop). Proficiency in Revit is a plus.
- Strong visual and spatial awareness with a keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
- Excellent time-management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a remote setting.
- A dedicated home workspace with a reliable high-speed internet connection.
- A portfolio that demonstrates technical skills and creative flair.
