Job Overview:
This is a dual-focus role responsible for managing the human resources functions for our remote and on-site team, as well as overseeing the day-to-day operational systems that keep the business running.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR: Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding for remote and on-site staff.
- HR: Maintain employee records and manage payroll, benefits, and time-off requests.
- HR: Act as a point of contact for employee questions and help foster a positive company culture in a remote environment.
- Operations: Develop, document, and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for key business processes.
- Operations: Evaluate and manage software tools and subscriptions for the entire team (e.g., project management, design software, communications).
- Operations: Assist in planning company-wide meetings and virtual team-building events.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Human Resources, Operations, or a similar role, preferably in a remote or distributed company.
- Knowledge of HR principles, best practices, and basic employment law.
- Exceptional organizational and process-development skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and empathy.
- Proficiency in HR software and productivity tools.
